Will this be very unforgiving? Alternative?

Hi all,

I want a midi dress in a purple/red/pink shade for under £50 - preferably a wrap dress. I think I like the one in the photo (link: m.asos.com/asos-design/asos-design-chevron-plisse-maxi-dress-with-self-belt/prd/10514822?clr=dusky-pink&SearchQuery=&cid=8799&gridcolumn=1&gridrow=3&gridsize=2&pge=6&pgesize=72&totalstyles=390 ) but not sure if the material will look a bit naff and be unforgiving.

Can anyone find me a better dress?

Well I’ve bought them both and will just have to see. If anyone sees a similar dress, please let me know.

It'll be fine. Prob wear shapewear under it just so it doesn't cling on the bum too much.

I love the pink one. What size are you? Id get a well fitting all in one shape wear for under it.

The pink one looks like a dressing gown I'm afraid but the And Other Stories one is lovely. Have you tried Phase Eight?

I’ve got the pink in an 8 and the red in a 36. I kind of like that it looks like a dressing gown but I do have a weird sense of style.
I’ve never really looked at Phase 8 before - I’m in my early thirties and my sense of style and shops I like are starting to change, but I don’t really know where to shop. I love some of the jumpsuits in the Phase 8 sale - thanks!
