Just that!

I’ve never been able to do make up well, just can’t seem to master the skill. Now looking for any good links that might help - mostly for subtle work/daytime look. 50+ , dry skin that flakes at nose edges and hairline sometimes. Thin lips - so lipstick never stays on. Skin not too bad otherwise. Have regular wax/threading for eyebrows and lip/chin line and get eyelashes died but doesn’t seem to look as strong recently. Allergic to mascara as eyes run immediately. Thank you.

I'm going to follow this for tips, nothing to recommend!

Shitonthebloodything · 08/12/2018 21:12

Pixiwoo, Lisa Elridge and Wayne Goss are my faves for tutorial type stuff

TheMarbleFaun · 08/12/2018 22:51

I like Hot & Flashy on YouTube I think she's similar age to you OP
I'm slightly younger but she is a similar colouring to me and her recommendations are always good

Thank you for the suggestions- time to start practicing!

I was watching . She's very good looking anyway and her colouring is different from mine but I quite enjoyed watching it.

WeeDangerousSpike · 09/12/2018 12:43

I've been watching Andreea Ali lately, she's done a what not to do and a what colours not to use and I found them really interesting

LadyOfTheCanyon · 09/12/2018 16:14

Dominique Sacshe is tremendous - completely mesmerising to watch, I find. She's a Texan news anchor and does a range of YT videos - she's very upfront about her use of Botox/Microblading etc but her make up tutorials are good for women over 50 I think.. I just skip the videos where she starts sounding too Republican!! Grin

Definitely Lisa Eldridge. Everything from basics to really out there/high tec looking stuff. She does tutorials for a range of ages and also recommends skin and makeup products for different skin types.

AtrociousCircumstance · 09/12/2018 16:18

Yes Lisa Eldridge - she’s wonderful.

suze28 · 09/12/2018 16:20

Hannah Martin is one of my favourites

Violetroselily · 09/12/2018 18:19

Lisa Eldridge is great to watch and seems to have something for everyone

WipsGlitter · 09/12/2018 20:25

Following!!

The "problem" with Lisa Eldridge is that she's so very beautiful... of course she'll look good whatever she puts on her face (she's also lovely, I hasten to say). Ah. Anyway. It'd be nice to see a regular-looking woman and see how she can look beautiful with make-up.
