Wide leg trousers help!

I'd like to get myself some wide leg dressy trousers (black or navy)and have been searching online for a while and am now quite bemused.
My issues are...
I've recently gone from a size 18 to a 14 and no longer know what might suit me
I'm tall and need at least 1 33" inside leg
I don't live near any shops (nearest town 50 miles away) so can't have a day browsing and trying on

But...I do have some John Lewis and Next vouchers to spend on myself.

Any ideas of where to look/what to look for?

Have j.l. or next got anything online so you can use the voucers

I've had a look cheesy but they have about 300 different styles and I wondered if anyone had got a sort of "go-to" brand that are really good style. I suppose it's all horse for courses though!

I'm a shorty so wear petite length. Next have black velvet ones in extra long, with a high fitted waistband. I think they are 38 pounds, they would look lovely with a matching velvet cami or a sparkly black cami and a sheer white or gold blouse over the top. I can't post a pic on this tablet. John Lewis are more expensive how much did you want to spend.

The Next ones sound good - and Next trousers seem to fit me quite well. Have actually got to go to town next week (for an entirely different reason) so I'll have a look then.

Budget around £50 (although £38 is much better) but up to £65 for a fab classic pair that will last me a good few years.

Thank you.

My best wide leg trousers are from Calvin Klein, Nicole Farhi and Hobbs. I need a similar inside leg. The CK ones were unfinished and came with a 36-38 inside leg.

I got some surprisingly nice aubergine coloured ones in the M&S sale last year. They are suit trousers & have a bit of weight & gloss to them - they will definitely last for a long time. The assistant told me the suit dept was a good place to hunt for wide-leg trousers. I can wear them with heels & I'm 6ft.

Update:
After a futile visit to Next (no wide leg trousers at all in the shop) I found some gorgeous navy blue ones from The Pretty Dress Company. In the sale too and they fit perfectly.
Happy bunny!
