wide fabric headband?

I'd like one that looks like this, with no knots in it (this one is sold out)

It mustn't be too firm, so I can still wear it comfortably when I have a headache.

Also considering one of the plainer Seasalt Handybands but would prefer a plain colour. Are they quite soft and don't exert much pressure on the head, the way the heavily elasticated ones do?

There are obviously hundreds of headbands on Amazon and Ebay but it's hard to know what you will end up with there.

I had one in about 1991 from Boots that would have been perfect but of course that is long gone!

Boots do these for a couple of pounds for 2. With the ladies hair clips.

I wore these in the early 90s with long chestnut hair until I saw a picture of myself looking like a King Charles Cavalier spaniel. Ditched the hairband but might give it another go now with short blonde hair.

I wear one that looks like this when washing my face/putting on make up.

It's an old pair of opaque tights!

Tie a leg round your head for size, double knot it really tight and cut off the ends. Mine has lasted years

With my face shape I'd be more likely to look like an Afghan Hound, but as it's just to keep my hair off my face when getting stuff done at home, that doesn't really matter!

Can't see the two-packs on the Boots website though they do have this, which is thinner: www.boots.com/scunci-no-damage-headwrap-1-pack-10121887

The tights idea is good, but it's bands with knots I want to avoid as they are uncomfortable if I have a headache (which happens relatively often because of a medical issue). I already have a scarf I like wearing for similar occasions when that's not a problem.

The 2 packs are one black, one grey, Boots own brand. I wear them while running.

Accessorize do them too, but not in cotton.

GrimDamnFanjo · 08/12/2018 15:11

I have some nice fair trade ones from Amazon . They come in a pack of two and are fine gauge knitted cotton.

Riotingbananas · 08/12/2018 15:15

This might be what you are after? It's made from bamboo and cotton and is incredibly soft (the one I ordered as a present has arrived today!). If you order 3 items from the mix and match sections, its 20% off. I dont work for them by the way Grin

'so comfy you won't even know it's there' is very appealing, thanks.
Will try and have a look at the Boots ones too although it does seem a bit random what smaller branches stock.
