Hi,

I want to wear this dress out to a bar with a cardi and belt but not in teetering heels, can I get away with boots or mid heels, any tips would be appreciated

Can anyone advise comfy shoes with this dress?

What style of boots? I think yes to studded ankle boots.

I agree with studded ankle boots. I'd consider chunky trainers too; I have some Adidas superstars that I'd wear with that. It's a lovely dress!!

Bright white trainers. Something like Adidas Stan smiths

If you want the look to be more dressy than funky, look for some supportive mid-height wedges. Start with brands that are known for comfort and support. Then swan past all the granny styles and see if there’s something that speaks to you.

I can’t wear even mid-high heels (back issues) and with a dress like this (and the cardi) I’d wear my upmarket Mary-Janes. Block-y or kitten heel & strap offer support, but there are some sweeeeet styles around. In keeping with a modern-but-slightly-1940’s look.

Plus, in a bar, with that low cut dress and the right smile no one’s going to be noticing your shoes at all. May as well be comfy Grin

Really chunky trainers like the new Fila ones or studded western ankle boots would work well.

I like the dune ones. Shame the Zara ones didn't have a heel; the style is lush!

You really don't want studded boots with a spotty dress: double dots. Bleugh.

Yyy to plain flat chunky boots (see Holly on I'm a Celeb), or the box fresh white trainers (see Emma Thompson at the Palace recently).
