Which aftershave/scent for DH?

Not sure if this is the right place for this thread but anyway.

DH has asked for a new scent for xmas and I have no idea what to get. He has mainly worn Boss, but said I should buy him something which I would like him to wear Confused

Any ideas on what scent/aftershave is popular for men? I have no idea where to start and don't want to deal with any pushy store sales people, so will probably order online perhaps after smelling some testers.

My OH usually wears Boss, I just got him Georgio Armani - Stronger with You for xmas. To me it's got a similar smell to Boss (not as powerful or recognisable), so I think he'll like it.

I love love love DH with Jean Paul Gaultier Le male. I buy if for him as often as I can. Admittedly it is the 'Lynx Africa' of aftershaves but I love the smell. Unfortunately DH is a particular (fucking odd) sort of chap. He thinks anything he used to have or that he remembers from his younger days is automatically good. It's not. That Kenzo Jungle that he has fond memories of owning at age 18 on his first lads holiday just stinks. It's headache-inducing horrible.

Bit of a curve ball - the bathhouse Spanish fig and nutmeg. It was one we randomly picked up in a little store in the lakes, and it’s divine. When DH wears it, good things happen to him 😂

I have bought DH - Y this year it gets great reviews
Sauvage is gorgeous
I wear Jo Malone Oud and Bergamot
And I want to add Rituals Samarai to the list
