Thanks :)

Let it dry entirely before you get dressed and wear loose clothing. I never wear a bra or underwear after a spray tan after I rubbed off a nice bra-shaped white bit afterwards!

Leave it on for how long they say and then shower. Usually overnight. Moisturise every day after you’ve showered so it fades evenly. And don’t panic if it looks dark and streaky when you wake up, it washes off evenly and much less orange!

Thanks Teddy - good to know about the loose clothing and any excuse not to wear a bra is fine by me Grin . What about shoes? Any particular ones better to wear straight after?

Shave legs no later than 24hrs before and exfoliate face legs and arms well for a good few days so no patches. Moisturise well. Do bikini line.

On day remove all traces of perfume, makeup and deodorant and tie hair back.

Go there and leave wearing loose dark clothing. Loose harem pants and a loose vest was best I found and a dark string bikini top.

Try and dry it as much as possible before getting dressed or leaving. They will have a fan or hairdryer to do that. I used to have them done in Sydney in high summer and keeping dry for 2 hours on public transport was impossible!!

Go darker than you think. Spray tans are remarkably good. Go for one layer in the face to keep it natural.

Your tanner will chat to you when you get there about colour. Go darker than you think you need. You will be led to a cubicle and told to undress and put on some very silly string paper knickers and stick some things to your feet so you don't get orange soles and told to stand in a little tent. Tanner will come in and load gun and give you instructions while spraying: arm out, head up, turn 90 degrees, bend leg, hold boob out the way etc. Takes about 10 minutes. She'll hairdryer you and leave you to get dressed.

Don't exfoliate afterwards but moisturise like a madman for 7 days and it should last nicely.

Done.

How did it go OP? All good? Grin

MinnieMul7 · 07/12/2018 07:21

Yes bellydancer all good Grin I was actually so nervous before though but she talked me through it. Just showered it off after 10 hours. She said try and wait all day today as I'm off work and out this evening but I do need the house and was looking a bit silly haha

Will last better if your body moisturiser is oil-free.
I like the Fake Bake coconut moisturiser.
And just wash gently with mild soap on hands in shower, rather than usual scrubbing away with a body puff.
Could last a good week that way.

MinnieMul7 · 10/12/2018 09:42

thanks florriepeck I have been trying my hardest not to scrub away in the shower. First day at work since and loads of compliments... surpised I didn't do it sooner
