Sewing magazine recommendations

Hi my mil wants to get me a sewing mag subscription for Christmas. But which one to get? I'm a beginner and am getting more experienced, and I really like sewing.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Is it general sewing or clothes? If it is clothes then Burda is one of the best. It has loads of patterns each month and step by step instructions. Plus the paper patterns are included in the magazine for all of them. It is very different to all the other sewing magazines.

If it is general sewing then to be honest all the magazines are pretty similar but usual stick to one brand for their free patterns so just decide which brand style you like best.

I really like Threads - I'd say it's the best for tips and techniques. (Although doesn't really do patterns/project ideas). They also have a website with loads of additional videos and articles for subscribers.

Well, work means I haven't done any sewing for ages, until two years ago I made all my clothes, suits, home furnishings, everything!

I still subscribe to Seamwork which is Collette's online magazine. Good value as for $90 you get two free patterns every month (I don't know how much other sewing magazines cost).

I've looked up threads, it looks great and I like the videos aspect.
(Have discovered I can crochet after watch YouTube videos)
But do they send the mag to the UK?
And do you get patterns with it?
