I posted in here a few weeks go about indeed labs retinol serum and lots of you lovely people said it was fab so I brought it, now my question is... do you put a night cream on top of it? It doesn't say in the packaging!

I personally find it best used on its own.

Tiredmum21 · 02/12/2018 10:20

Me too - I've been using it for about a month and use it at night after cleansing on its own. Also read somewhere on here that you need to let your face dry after cleansing before putting it on so trying that too!

princesstiasmum · 02/12/2018 12:42

I've been using this for a week now and can't say I've seen a difference.

Should I be seeing a difference yet?

No.

Retinol takes time to work. We're talking months rather than weeks, unfortunately. You need to be patient and keep using it for about 3 or 4 months before you will see any real difference.

ThePurpleOneIsOverrated · 10/12/2018 20:33

Ok.....but when I do, what kind of difference will I hopefully be seeing? I'm almost tempted to move on to the 1% stuff.

IcedPurple · 11/12/2018 20:17

Well, I guess it's not easy to define. I'm in my late 40s and have been using retinol for over a year now - several different brands including Indeed Labs - and though I do say myself, my skin looks pretty good despite my advanced years! Of course, as with anything of this nature it could be down to a lot of factors, and I'm not suggesting I look like a teenager or anything, but I would say my skin looks brighter and dare I say it 'more youthful'.

So be patient. You will see results! It just takes time.

princesstiasmum · 11/12/2018 22:46

You will see some difference ,it doesnt work overnight,
I am a lot older than you, and i could see a big difference
Your skin will look clearer, and pores closed, a lot fresher, but it might take a couple of weeks or 3, but it definitely does make a difference,i was very surprised

princesstiasmum · 11/12/2018 22:49

I dont think it will take months,it is one of the best of any of its kind i have used ,especially for the price
Better than Roc,which i didnt think much of

IcedPurple · 12/12/2018 15:06

It's nothing to do with the quality of the product: According to experts in the field, retinol is an ingredient which takes several months to really show results. It works by boosting collagen production, which doesn't happen overnight.
