Following on the success of the long running Royal Style & Gossip threads, I am starting a companion thread, for us to still chat about frocks and indulge in a bit of non spiteful gossip. In the spirit of the other naice threads, please keep this fluffy too.

To kick off, please let us admire Richard Madden of the Bodyguard channeling 007 on the cover of GQ

She is, and lives a fabulously Instagrammable life. One of her sons is dating Olympia "of Greece", I think. Or at least he was when I last looked. They're barely 20 so could be over by now!

I got this months Red magazine and it has Holly Willoughby on the cover and as the main interview. I've never really engaged with her but just checked out her instagram and have to say she does dress in a very wearable down to earth way. Anyway my point being that she's also launching a range of clothes with m and s that she's cheerfully admitted she didn't really design so I like her for that. Also like a few of the blouses actually....

Didn't mind last nights blouse tbh @TipseyTorvey. Not something I would wear or pull off but it looked good on her. It will be interesting to see her line for M & S. I've been guilty of buying some of their insta famous outfits (blue astral dress from last year anybody?) and I gotta say they're so affordable.

I’ve never bought clothes from M&S (just underwear). No real reason although I don’t like the fact that you can run the risk of wearing the same outfit as other people as they really push their “key” pieces

Halle Berry is 52. (I actually really like her shoes!)

Halle Berry is awesome and stunning definitely but how much work must it take to look like that at 52? 2 hours a day at the gym etc and weekly appts with dermatologists, stylists etc. Am not far off her age so it's all a bit depressing to look in the mirror then at her really.

Yes all these Celebs with banging bodies at 50+ must have to work very hard to maintain them. Fair enough I suppose! I'm sure there's a good few nips and tucks too and having a personal stylist and hair and make up artists will always help too.

That's why I like Liz Hurley - she fully admits she's been on a diet for 30 years as it's bloody hard work to look like she does!

Yes, i Remember Liz Hurley talking about eating only watercress soup before her bikini photo shoots and going to bed hungry. She readily admitted it was miserable.

Joanna Lumley is another one who freely admits she never eats 😂. She was in an interview on tv answering a question about how she kept her figure years ago, and basically said that she never eats breakfast because it just makes her hungry for the rest of the day, and then she never eats lunch either if she can help it and tries to only have a tiny supper with champagne. I may have misremembered her exact words but I loved her for just admitting she barely eats but then she was criticised for promoting unhealthy eating so I'm not surprised everyone else comes out with 'oooh its from running around after the kids' tropes.

Natalie Portman is only 37! I thought she was older as she's been around so long, but of course she was only 12 when she made Leon. She's clever too and has a degree from Harvard.

Catherine Zeta Jones Instagrammed her shoe wardrobe. according to the DM this is only a fraction of her entire wardrobe which spans several rooms.
This little shoe closet is worth about £35k

That dress is hideous on CZJ then again I’ve never seen her in much I have liked, I don’t find her remotely stylish.

Oh no, there are quite a few CZJ dressses I've liked. This red one, this moss green one and she just looked resplendent when pregnant. She usually gives good glam on the red carpet!

Granted the green dress is very nice, I’m not sure why I can’t take to her style I think she is very ‘Hollywood’ glam and if she was an ordinary person she would be ‘cruise ship’ glam, I think she has always dressed a bit older than her years and it would have been nice to see her take a few fashion risks.
