Following on the success of the long running Royal Style & Gossip threads, I am starting a companion thread, for us to still chat about frocks and indulge in a bit of non spiteful gossip. In the spirit of the other naice threads, please keep this fluffy too.

To kick off, please let us admire Richard Madden of the Bodyguard channeling 007 on the cover of GQ

Thought most of the men looked good but could not say the same of a lot of the women.

Kim K looked trashy, cheap and awful. Lady Gaga looked awful in that bikini top and knickers.

All the outfits would've been insane choices for the Oscars but the Met Gala is a totally different kettle of fish. I thought Saoirse Ronan's dress was perfect, though I'd like to have seen at least one celeb showcase a different interpretation of the Camp theme by wearing a cagoule and waterproof trousers!

I absolutely loved Dakota Johnson's look

I thought Anna Wintour's dress was divine.

This clip of Zendaya's dress lighting up is pretty cool. It reminds me of the light dress Clare Danes wore to the Met gala some years ago.

I just had a look at the Met Gala dresses and am I the only one to think Kim K's dress looked like flayed skin?

Creepy.

I think it was meant to be raindrops. She always looks so uncomfortable as her clothes are so skintight.

The video showed how they trussed her in. I'm surprised she could breathe at all.

Not sure why raindrops would be the colour of fresh meat.

Just seen some BAFTA photos and overall I think there are some really good looks, Ruth Wilson and Jodie Whittaker especially. Also love Claudia Winkleman's black velvet dress.

I liked Phoebe Waller-Bridge's and Jodie Comer's dresses.

The Cannes film festival starts tomorrow so we will have a LOT of gowns to admire (or not) over the next few weeks.

The BAFTAS had the best dresses I've seen for a long time. Proper glamorous.
