If you are apple-shaped, please can you recommend some nice work trousers?

I have recently lost nearly 3 stone but my body shape is still on the 'apple' side. I want some black trousers for work but I am finding that if they fit round the waist, they are too baggy round my hips and bum but if they fit nicely round there, I can't do them up Confused

Am really struggling so any ideas? Do I have to resort to elasticated waist ones?

The irony is that pre-DC, I was a definite pear shape and had the exact opposite problem but 2 children and a 5 stone weight gain seems to have changed my shape Hmm

I am similar but have no problem with elasticated trousers - you can get nice ones, it's not all granny trousers now 🙂

Nydj Or Arket. Casual slouch man type trousers are in now as well. The smart tracksuit style with a gold over waistband. Me & em are good for those.

Strangely enough, we were in Palma recently where the shopping and small independent boutique type shops are to die for.....and even teeny weeny sizes in trousers had a back elasticated panel on the waistband.
Obviously they don't have the pre-conceived ideas about elastic being for older or heavier women and it's all about the 'fit', quite an eye opener to be honest but they are so correct.

Uniqlo do good ones

Next! My DM bought some elastic wasted trousers, I have now bought them in blue and black and two pairs of jeans. Stretch and sculpt or something, will see if I can get you a screen shot.

Another vote for elasticated waists. They aren't all granny trousers in crimplene these days! Try Navabi. They have some fab trousers.
