Tattoo removal

I'm thinking of getting one of my tattoos removed. It's a small one on my ankle.

I've been looking at prices, and its suspiciously cheap... I thought it would cost thousands, but there's deals on Groupon for £20!

Any advice/ suggestions?

You get for what you pay for, just like tattoos.

Many beauty places do it but simply aren’t fully trained in it.

Ps, it won’t cost thousands but generally I’d say it’s dpuble the price of the original tattoo. Obviously it’s hard to say depending on colour, size, age etc

Depends on the size & age. Mine is 20 years old & about a £2 coin size it’s black blue and yellow & £30 per session. I’ve had 5 so far and it’s faded but still there. Wish I’d done it years ago. I’d say it’s another 5 sessions because of the blue the black is mostly gone. It HURTS but only while it’s happening and it’s over by the time I count to 30. No pain afterwards either.

I had a fairly large one on my shoulder removed and it cost close to £1000 over about ten sessions. I was (and still am!) delighted with the results, you would never know I had a tattoo. I'd be wary of anyone offering the treatment for £20..

Excision is at least £1000 but depends how much you want rid. Woman in Burnley offers the best standard of laser (will check for name)

Andrea Catton 👍🏻

I can't find any that cost £1,000? But I am in Newcastle where things are a bit cheaper anyway.

Hiya, if it's excision you generally have to go private but it's only small tattoos in certain pleases which can be taken out in this way. Cheapest I've seen excision is £800 but obviously if it's not driving you nuts laser is more affordable. The best laser is apparently the picosure one. It may be cheaper now but I was paying about £180 a pop (at the place in Burnley) but you might find cheaper places that do picosure - I think more places offer it now.
