Eyelashes have given me more confidence...

I have just started to wear fake eyelashes during the day and they have been a game changer for me.
I feel they really open up my eyes and give me more confidence day to day.
I like to wear the natural ones that enhance my eyes.

What is everyone else's thoughts about wearing eyelashes?.

I have lvl lashes so they're real just permed and dyed, much better for me than semi permena t or falsies day to day.

shamalawa · 28/11/2018 15:10

Strip lashes? What ones are you wearing? I've never been able to find any that are suitable for daytime

Welshheart · 28/11/2018 15:40

I tried them once I think, took me ages to get the bloody things on found them really fiddly, frustrating, & couldn't get on with them altho I liked the look of it on others.
Haven't tried them since tbh

sophiehalpin · 28/11/2018 15:41

shamalawa how come you havent been able to find any suitable, too long or heavy or?.

I tend to wear the accent ones there easy to stick on, plus there not as heavy either for the day time, see link below.

GrimDamnFanjo - have you used lash growth serum or anything like that?.

I never use to use any but i do like the natural ones to give me some length with mascara other the top.

I think personally I’d find those far too full for day to day.

I like the little single type ones but just for special.

lifebeginz · 28/11/2018 16:05

I wear strip lashes for anight out but day to day I think they would bug me....if I found them confortable enough I probably would though......but it does take me about 4 attempts per eye to get a set on correctly haha

KMoKMo · 28/11/2018 16:20

I’d love to have time to either have my eyelashes done regularly or to wear falsies every day. Had anyone noticed? What comments have you had? I just worry for a nearly 40 year old it will look like I’m trying a bit too hard. But I have really deep set eyes and would love to feel they look a bit more open.

Bluesheep8 · 28/11/2018 17:10

Try revitalash, you won't need to wear falsies

user187656748 · 28/11/2018 17:12

I’ve just bought magnetic reusable ones. They arrived this morning and im going to have a play with them tonight

DoveSecret · 28/11/2018 20:47

Ive had a set of cluster lashes today for the first time. I dont like them. They look nice but theyre not for me. I have a night out on Friday but after that theyre out. They look better with eye make up but tomorrow morning DH will look at them and say WTF😂

Lanaa · 28/11/2018 22:19

I love them too. They make me feel so much more beautiful. It's a subtle thing but they really improve my eyes and improve the look of my face. I tend to get the semi permanent ones but Ardell Wispies are great for everyday wear.

user187656748 · 28/11/2018 23:27

Well after an evening of frustration I can confirm that the magnetic ones are shite. The magnets are strong and they jump to attach themselves which is fine if you don’t want accurately placed eyelashes - always a good look... Hmm

lifebeginz · 29/11/2018 08:47

I used to get regular lash extensions when I was younger and although they looked good at the time they ruined my lashes....when I removed them my own lashes were all short and stubbly. They have grown back now and worry about doing that to them again so I just stick to mascara now and strip lashes when going out. The semi-permanent ones are good for going on holiday though

mrpoopybutthole · 29/11/2018 09:06

I have the individual lashes, applied in a salon. I have the thin, shorter ones, which look really natural. My eyes are fairly small & my natural lashes are really short. Fake lashes really open my eyes up & give me a lot more confidence. These ones are really lightweight, so don't bother me at all. I wear less make up when I have them on (other than a night out). I love them!

Sidge · 29/11/2018 16:03

I have individual lashes done every 2-3 weeks. My own lashes are very blonde, fine and short. I’d been having them tinted for about 30 years but a year ago switched to lashes as I wanted more volume and a little more length.

I love them. My eyes look so much better and I don’t need mascara.

I can’t get on with strip lashes.

FortyFacedFuckers · 29/11/2018 16:08

I am a semi permanent eyelash addict, I get them done every 2 weeks and feel & look awful without them!

Oorwulliesbucket · 30/11/2018 09:23

Forty, I'm going to get these done tomorrow! Infills how often? Do they stay on until you get them removed?

areyoubeingserviced · 30/11/2018 09:27

I have short , natural looking ones and I love them. I look groomed even when I am not wearing any makeup

Oorwulliesbucket · 30/11/2018 09:47

Areyoubeingserviced, are they permanent ones? How often do you need infills?

DoveSecret · 30/11/2018 12:16

Well mine are out. I couldn’t be bothered with them after 2 were on my pillow this morning. Baby oil and 5 mins do the trick.

I dont know how people can be bothered with the upkeep!

Oogle · 30/11/2018 12:22

I have Russian lashes applied every 2 weeks. My own lashes were short and stubby but weirdly, they're stronger and longer than ever. I'm guessing because I'm not coating them in mascara and using make up remover daily.

The woman who does mine makes the fans as she goes rather than buy pre-made so they're not at all heavy and she can make them fuller or more subtle.

FortyFacedFuckers · 01/12/2018 22:39

Sorry @ourwulliesbucket did you get yours done? Are you happy with them?

legolammb · 01/12/2018 23:04

I love the look of them, but as someone with seriously oily skin I am always worried that the oil will melt any glue and they'll end up sliding off my face

Oorwulliesbucket · 01/12/2018 23:14

Gone them done yesterday and I love them! Will see her w I get on with the upkeep.
