It's been years since I bought a new eyeliner pencil, so this is probably a really stupid question.
I bought one yesterday and I'm surprised that the pencil part of it seems to be a very dense, solid plastic instead of my expected wood. The eyeliner itself is like a solid waxy gel rather than a traditional pencil formulation, so it's lovely and soft. I'd kind of presumed that the "lead" would twist up somehow, but it doesn't.
Is a normal pencil sharpener going to work on the plastic case? Will it do horrible things to the soft eyeliner? Am I missing some sort of trick?
