Phase eight Becca dress- weird?

Ordered one of the ones on sale at Next and it looks nice (not tried on yet) but is it a dress really? Bottom half looks like a shallow stretchy band that won’t go over my massive arse? How does one wear these frocks please?!

I have one (becca dress AND massive arse) - you can either pull it right down to just above knee- length if youre a short arse like me or let it fall naturally at mid-thigh and throw on some 200denier tights or leggings if youre blessed with thights to match your arse like me .

Ive been conplemented on it either way i wear it!

Enjoy!

Oh that’s good to know thanks! Was hoping to wear it dressed up with heels but will definitely need thick thick tights!

What’s a becca dress ?

Talisin · 28/11/2018 09:06

This. Similar to a Hush Tara but the top is less oversized.

Polkapjs · 28/11/2018 17:03

It was recommended on here as very flattering so I immediately ordered the bargain one I found!

I have this dress in 2 colours and just ordered it again. So bloody comfy to wear. Just chuck it on and go. Love it and definitely recommend!

I returned 5 Becca dresses today... I'm not a serial returner I promise, I just thought they would be the perfect dresses and they were not. They are far too short in the body for me and a bit short on the legs. I'm 5ft3in. I'm not entirely sure what shape or height of person is wearing them? I have kept one Becca dress (I bought 6 to start with) because it was half price and I like the material but it's not a magic bullet for me.

I love the Hush Tara and Tina (particularly Tina) dresses and have a load of them. They fit me much better.

halfwitpicker · 28/11/2018 21:33

Do they show every lump and bump?

MrWolfknowsthetime · 28/11/2018 21:34

I have a couple of them - very comfortable and they look ok on me. I struggle with dresses, my waist is clearly not in the correct position, but these seem to work.

MrWolfknowsthetime · 28/11/2018 21:35

Perhaps the issues is that they don’t right in people whose waist is in the right place?

EnidButton · 28/11/2018 21:48

The waists on dresses are often too high for me. I'm 5'6 so not really tall but must have a long torso. Are you like that MrWolf? I love the Hush Tina dresses so wondering about trying these

EnidButton · 28/11/2018 21:49

Although 'short on the body' doesn't sound right for my shape. Shame. They look good.

MrWolfknowsthetime · 28/11/2018 21:51

I think I have the opposite problem Enid - short torso. I'm 5ft2 but even petite sizes don't fit properly, so it definitely seems to be a proportion issue.

NaturalBornWoman · 28/11/2018 21:56

I have several Becca dresses, they are very comfortable for work. They are quite short though, so unless you are a gazelle you need tights. Personally I do prefer the Hush Tina, especially this year now the waistline is more elasticated. The previous version used to slip down on me. I'm 5ft 4 and bigger at the top than the bottom.

EnidButton · 29/11/2018 00:36

MrWolf Thank you. Think the waist will sit too high on me then. The Hush Tina is just about right but mainly because it's stretchy and the top covers the waist. Really I could do with it an inch lower.

Might still get one to try, loads of colour choices.

nickEcave · 29/11/2018 11:25

I'm 4 foot 11 and just purchased a Becca dress in the Phase Eight sale. It is incredibly flattering but it is SHORT! The skirt part stops mid-thigh on me. How on earth do taller people wear it?

CakeNinja · 30/11/2018 00:19

It is very short! I’m 5’7 and have a couple as they’re perfect for work with leggings or tights and I have a short body but long legs so the waist sits nicely on me.
Love the dresses.
