Proper wool jumper

I'm looking for something 100% lambswool if possible, super warm, but perhaps a little trendy too. I have a basic one from Uniqlo, but also looking for something a bit more special.

I like this one www.thecrofthouse.com/womens-chunky-drop-shoulder-jumper-yellow-ochre.html but not sure what type of quality it may be?

Men's jumpers in any shop, size down.

XingMing · 27/11/2018 15:24

OP, the one you link is lovely. Much, much nicer than the mainstream stores offering, and as it's 10% silk, it probably feels smoother than plain wool too.

Celtic and Co or jigsaw. I have 100% wool from jumpers from both. (Also Boden and John Lewis as pp mentioned)

Agree with XingMing, lovely jumper.

Hi Perfectpanda11. The Croft House is my business. We're based in the North East of Scotland and everything is made in Scotland using wool spun in the UK. You can be assured of the highest quality of yarns and workmanship - have a look at both our product and service reviews as they speak for themselves. Contact me if you need any further info :)

Charity shop? It depends on budget Smile

Crofthouse your jumpers are lovely, are they OK in a wool cycle of a washing machine? I've out all sorts in it and they have been fine. It's a Miele.
I'm rubbish at handwashing.

I have got a CroftHouse jumper and it is lovely. Another lovely brand is Harley of Scotland.

WoolOvers, pure and Celtic co - though year to year I find its hit and miss.

Pre financial crash m and s we're doing some crackingly good quality wool jumpers and cardigans - as mine is still gorgeous- it's v hard to find good quality wool at reasonable prices these days.

I'm stoically trying to avoid polyester or other man made fabrics due to fibre shedding. It's very hard.

NeurotrashWarrior · 28/11/2018 08:05

Hasn't heard of croft house though ei take a gander...

NeurotrashWarrior · 28/11/2018 08:09

Wow love the fairisle stuff. And that kimono!

CroftHouse · 28/11/2018 09:16

Hi OldJoseph. Apart from 1 Mens style, all our jumpers are labelled as Hand wash/Dry clean only due to the yarns we use. I do however know of a lot of customers who say they use a delicate/wool wash machine cycle but this would be at your own risk as it's not the recommended care method.
