If I like Herschel and Sandqvist...?

What other bags would I like?
Oh wants to buy me a backpack for Christmas, it's something on my list he can cope with, something he understands.
Want to leave him to it on the whole but thought I could chuck some ideas his way just to be on the safe side.

How much do you want to spend? My favourite purchase ever is this bedouinfoundry.com/products/delireis they are unusual, lifetime guarantee, sturdy and waterproof

TantricTwist · 25/11/2018 23:59

I've just bought a Herschel because I need a work horse but I love the look of this

TantricTwist · 26/11/2018 00:03

My DD has this in Acorn and I very nearly bought myself the same in Frost Green.

TantricTwist · 26/11/2018 00:14

Kipling are cool with their monkeys attached.

userblablabla · 26/11/2018 00:17

fjallraven kanken

EnglishRose1320 · 26/11/2018 14:04

Thanks for the suggestions,

SD 1979- love that bag but yes a tad pricey, my budget is up to around the £100 mark.

The Kipling's are quite sweet but maybe not quite practical enough- I fear I may want a bag that doesn't exist.

Love the kanken and have it on my list, only thing and it's a really silly picky thing is quite a few people I know have them, I don't normally want something different but for some reason it bugs me with the kanken.

@EnglishRose1320- I justified it by the lifetime guarantee. I never need to buy another bag. Want- that's a bit different 😂

JennyHolzersGhost · 26/11/2018 14:41

I thought for a minute this thread was in the baby names forum 😂

EnglishRose1320 · 26/11/2018 14:59

SD 1978- if I was buying it for myself I would be very tempted with the same reasoning.

Jenny- I have been known to like quirky names but even I'm not quite that unique!

Oddly tk maxx had a load of similar styled ones recently. Made.com had one, as did Skagen.

spanishwife · 26/11/2018 15:19

@JennyHolzersGhost Acorn, Kipling and Herschel are not the worst names I've seen on the baby names threads!

KeysHairbandNotepad · 26/11/2018 15:19

Knomo perhaps.

@spanishwife - Is there a fashion label called Ballonz ?! Grin

boymum9 · 26/11/2018 15:41

I have a kanken that I LOVE even though a million people seem to have them where I live now, but I find it great because it is quite compact but holds a lot, and zips out flat, water resistant etc

OHolyNightOwl · 26/11/2018 15:48

It always makes me smile to see Fjällräven recommended. We all had them as school bags in Sweden and they were seen as safe and boring and we wanted "cool" American brands like Nike!

I am however using my old school backpack as a laptop bag again now! Think it is indestructible.

Fjällräven (arctic fox) Kånka (lug/carry)

thedevilinablackdress · 26/11/2018 17:05

Rains DK for waterproofness

ichifanny · 26/11/2018 17:26

I have a kanken and it’s fab but I thinks you would like RAINS I have a lovely minimalist looking backpack from them

If I like Herschel and Sandqvist...?
EnglishRose1320 · 26/11/2018 18:00

Ooh lots more fab suggestion, have a lovely short list to give oh now and would be happy to receive any of them. Quite taken with a knomo bag I have found, also like some of the rains ones and the Skagen ones. Plus with all the good reviews the kanken will definitely be staying on the list!
