Primark hand towels- threads/stuff coming off

I got 2 hand towels from primark this week...the first one was maroon colour I think and was fine..the second one I started using today-was black colour...I went to the toilet, washed my hands and dried it on this towel a few times..then when I did it one more time, the black threads from the black towel came off the towel and was filled on my hands-both of my hands..did this happen bcos the hand towel was low quality?
where can I get good quality hand towels? I got a lot of towels from primark before and never had this problem....
I didn't wash this hand towel before my first use...so it can't be that....or should I have done that?

this towel was 2.50 pounds...so it wasn't really cheap.....lol or maybe I think that cos I am still a student...

Did you wash them before using them? That will stop the fluff coming off!

new towels shed fluff.
the darker the more you notice.
just wash it and it will stop shedding as much.

You have to wash towels before use or they will cover you on fluff and don’t absorb water properly. Even more expensive towels will do this.
