What to do with my awful, thin hair (picture included)

Hi all,

As you can tell from the attached picture, I have really thin, fine mouse-coloured hair.

After a really awful week, I've decided I want a change. My self-esteem is at a low and I really could do with a boost!

I'm going to book an appointment at a hairdressers this week and I'm open to anything - adding colour, having a bob, etc. What do you think I should do?

I'm 25, if that's relevant.

I also my eyebrows showing on the pic as they are very dark, so possibly wouldn't want to dye my hair too light.

Any advice appreciated!

I'd beware of colour though if your hair's thinning. Mine's much thicker and better condition since I stopped having it coloured.

It did get quite thin at one point (peri-menopause) but since I stopped colouring it and take a daily vitamin specifically for women of my age, it's so much better.

May be worth considering a supplement if you have suspected PCOS Pineapple.

Also my hair in the first photo is all pushed over my shoulders - I have just realised that's made it look a lot thicker than it is

Mine's much thinner than yours and stringy at the ends. I had a blunt chin length bob and it looked thicker, but I felt a bit frumpy I'm much older than you.
I seriously want to try the Dyson volume thing.

You have lovely hair and eyebrows.

You also have a beautiful smooth forehead. Don’t rush to cover it up with a fringe.

I have similar hair and recently had it cut to one length just below my shoulders. It looks so much thicker! A tiny bit of layering but just at the very bottom and the smallest amount of feathering round the face.
FWIW I think your hair looks lovely!

Long layers not blunt cut....think kate Middleton...curled & bouncy
