What to wear at a size 16/18?

Am still quite plump post #3's birth, and my tummy muscles have given up the ghost. Up until now I haven't had time to exercise much with two home educated kids,a husband that works away and a baby (kids have now started school so am hoping to change this in the new year?)

Anyway. I live in skinny jeans, a long line vest and a top... normally stripey. I am happy to accept this is a mum uniform...I am a mum, and having a uniform makes life easy. However, I don't think skinnies are that flattering, and sometimes I find them uncomfy. Especially as my tummy is bigger than my legs, if that makes sense? So to get them tight on my legs they end up tight on my tummy meaning I am either uncomfortable or muffin topped or both.

So I dug out a pair of relaxed skinnies I wear in the summer with flip flops and have been wearing them with converse, but I don't think that's particularly flattering?

Are there any looks I am missing at this time of year? I have some black biker style boots which go with skinnies and a denim mini skirt quite well, plus some knee high flat tan boots that need a polish, plus assorted converse/superga.

I don't wear heels really as am quite tall.

Wrap dress is a good staple, for when you need something a bit dressier but not too ott.

Yes, maybe more dresses would be comfy, good call.

Yes, I have the same problem with trousers now which is frustrating, although I have one pair that fits ok. Per Una slim fitting black trousers. At the moment I wear them with slouchy roll neck jumpers.

I do think dresses are most flattering (and comfortable), with either tights or leggings. Your footwear sounds like it would go well with dresses. My only problem at the moment is coats and dresses, I've two coats and I don't really like either with dresses.
