Wedding shoes...

So the dress is chosen, pictures hopefully attached, now I need shoes.

On my feet all day so not towering and poss a block heel? Super comfortable. Not the £400 lots of ‘bridal’ shoes seem to cost. Oh and pretty or at least elegant would be good.

Any ideas?

Photos not behaving now so will try to add pics later....

I like Dune as they’re cute and a nice range of styles and heel heights but not too overpriced.

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 24/11/2018 15:03

Sorry. Helps to post!

Lovely dress. I'm not very good at shoes. They're not going to show so just pick something you like and feel comfy in.

I got some lovely ones at John Lewis; rainbow I think they are called. They have a blue jewel on there as your something blue and you can get them dyed another colour there after if you want.
Lovely dress btw

FadedRed · 24/11/2018 15:05

Lovely frock, Op.
It’s a good time for ‘party type’ shoes in shops like Debenhams.
If you want something a bit different but not eye-watering my expensive, then have a look at ‘Ruby Shoos’, they have some pretty bridal type ones at more reasonable prices.

BurpAndRustle · 24/11/2018 15:05

Sniggering at website name. Sorry.

Try Asos.

BagelDog · 24/11/2018 15:39

Debenhams have a few that look good. I may have to venture into an actual shop to try things on though... ruby shoo have some interesting ones by norbaurw the f anywhere near me has them in stock to try on. I am helpfully between a 4.5 and a 5 so need to try.

Well that was gobbledegook- meant to say something sensible about needing to see if anywhere near me stocks Ruby Shoo to try on.

Beautiful dress!! If you find some shoes you love and would like them personalised, I run a business creating hand-painted wedding shoes, adding names, dates, flowers etc so that they are a real keepsake to wear on anniversaries and date nights etc after the wedding too.

I know advertising on here is probably frowned upon but when I saw the thread I thought I’d just pop this on here in case you’re interested! Hope that’s ok. Shoodle Shoes

I think Rachel Simpson do the nicest wedding shoes and lots of them could be worn again.

seven201 · 24/11/2018 19:25

I had Rachel Simpson wedding shoes! Mine were ex sample. Mimi in silver (not sold in silver anymore). I sold them a couple of weeks ago on eBay for ... £12. They were very comfy and not too high - I can't generally walk in heels!

Scoleah · 24/11/2018 20:50

I can't walk in Heels,
I had the Rainbow Club shoes!
Small heel, super Comfy & looked the Part! Only paid about £20, Highly recommended

Fujexa · 24/11/2018 22:27

I too had Rachel Simpson shoes, in a light pink/ blush colour, they were beautiful, elegant and super comfortable, and I've worn then loads of times since!

BagelDog · 24/11/2018 22:48

Comfortable and good for being on ones feet all day is what I need. Recently I have been in trainers or crocs at work (NHS) so am out of practice with heels. Also will need to walk on grass and I don’t want to sink.

Rachel Simpson and Tainbow club sound like ones I need to find and try on. Not sure what size would fit best.

A friend mentioned Pearl and Stud shoes - anyone seen/worn those?

Style- wise what suits the dress best?

Sorry so many questions....! But you have been ace so far.

Not sure if it helps but I wore silver glitter converse! Super comfy and I've worn them a few times since when I go out for the evening :)

They are me though, I don't wear heels and not really a pretty shoes person!

FrowningFlamingo · 25/11/2018 06:52

Rainbow are really variable to try a few styles - some are really uncomfortable but some lovely!
I bought my bridesmaids shoes from the next bridal range (designed for brides but they had ivory accessories) and they said they were really comfy. I'm not sure they stock many this time of year though.

FrowningFlamingo · 25/11/2018 06:54

The dress is gorgeous btw!

BagelDog · 25/11/2018 14:16

So the Pearl and stud ones a friend suggested are below... either peep toes in blush Velvet or cream satin, or the sand led with ruffles. Apparently very comfortable. How would they work style wise oh stylish peeps? All this wedding stuff is making me feel clueless 🤣
