Curly Girl method friendly hair dyes?

Ironfloor269 · 23/11/2018 20:57

I've been using box hair dyes at home. But since I started the CG method, I haven't coloured my hair. It's about time I did as the greys are showing.

Are there CG method friendly hair dyes out there? Other than henna, that is.

Oh I'm the same! Greys galore but too scared to dye it?

Hairdresser here what are CG methods ?

Cherries101 · 23/11/2018 21:05

Henna or Indigo

The John Frieda foam colour ones are. As long as you don't use the conditioner that comes with them.

@Dexy1957 curly girl is no sulphates, silicones or parabens or anything that would require a sulphate to wash it out.

I use garnier belle colour, but I don't use the conditioner that comes with it.

Thank you for the replies.

I didn't know that m John Frieda and Garnier hair colours are CG friendly, if used without the accompanying conditioner.

Naturtint from Holland and barret?

Ironfloor269 · 25/11/2018 12:06

@stayfit, is Naturatint sulphate and silicone free, do you think?

I use Nice and Easy, and just leave out the conditioner stage. I deep condition afterwards with my usual CG friendly conditioner and a bit of almond oil.
I don't think there are any sulfates or silicone in there, I haven't checked the ingredients but I think I'd see it in my hair if I'd used sls or silicone now.
