The Christmas-at-home thread

For one reason or another, all my Christmas outfits will be at my house this year.

Christmas Day family, friends for lunch on the 28th, teenage Goddaughter on the 30th and friends with tinies on NYE.

I'd like to dress up and was thinking velvet wide legs and slippers. This thread always reminds us to focus on tops above the table.

Shall we start sharing what to wear at home? I never see this in magazines x

I'm wearing the following over Christmas at house parties:

Hush Charlie dress with black opaque tights
Sequinned mini (ASOS a couple of years ago) with boatneck jumper (Uniqlo) and opaques
Slouchy cashmere jumper plus silk bias cut skirt. This fails the 'pretty top' rule and I'm not sure about tights and shoes to keep warm, if wearing out I wear with knee high boots but wouldn't wear those at home obviously.

Liking your velvet trousers idea, I have some widelegged navy cords that would look good with some mules and a pretty top. Hmmm.
