Has anyone set out to buy less crap and better quality? Quality over quantity? Did you find you spent less? Did it work?

Yes, me! I am not sure if it will save me money, but hopefully I will have nicer things that I actually enjoy wearing.

I always buy quality over quantity. Makes more sense to me as things last so much longer if they're good quality and you look after them. Might seem hard in the beginning but it's worth it in the long run if you persevere.

I should add that I currently don’t need anything new so my mission is to try to not buy anything new for at least 12 months and then buy a few nice things.

Yes, I generally find I don't wear the cheap stuff, due to nasty sweaty man-made fabric and bad cuts. I read the fabric content obsessively. I intend to invest more in clothes when I get to a weight I am happy with, should that ever happen.
