Recommend me your shampoo?

I'm looking for a new shampoo and conditioner that doesn't contain SLS, Parabens, silicones and ideally nothing derived from palm oil, can anyone recommend something? I've got medium length fine curly-ish hair, and quite a lot of it, which goes horribly frizzy if I don't blow dry it smooth (and even that isn't a guarantee). I'm told this could be down to all the chemicals in the hair products. So, I need something that won't break the budget and is ethical, anyone got any ideas? The water where I live is very soft, I know that can make a difference too...

Faith in Nature. Wide range for different hair types, reasonable cost, great credentials.

Faith In Nature Hair Care

I use the Coconut Shampoo and alternate between the coconut or the fragrance free conditioner.

Often in the Holland and Barrett penny sale too, if you want to stock up.

Fab thank you, I'll have a look at both!

I use Mark Hill Miracoilous. Takes a bit of getting used to as it doesn't foam much so you don't think your hair is clean to start with, but it is! My hair is a million times better since I started using it (and I have it coloured every 6 weeks).

Ogx orchid oil shampoo and conditioner has changed my life, no exaggeration Wink

VelociraptorRex · 22/11/2018 21:45

Ooh I've not heard of those, I'll investigate! Hopefully not life changing prices though??

I've just bought the Dr Organics in rose Otto as I wanted one without sls, it smells gorgeous! No itchy scalp after, so I'm happy with it so far. Will go back and get the conditioner when mine runs out, they're £5.99 or three for two on all Dr Organic products in Holland & Barrett at the moment.

IHeartKingThistle · 22/11/2018 22:24

The Mark Hill is £5 each for shampoo and conditioner. (I don't think about how much I pay for my colour!)

I love OGX. Great smells, easy rinsing and no residue. Tesco sometimes have it for £2 a bottle. The bamboo one in the green bottle is fab. Lily of the valley scent.

The Garnier one is divine. Better than all my expensive ones.

I'm off to H&B this afternoon to have a good browse, thanks all Smile

Hask. Recommend by Caroline Hirons and I can vouch for how utterly brilliant it is. I don't buy anything else now. From Waitrose, Superdrug and Boots.

I'm going to second Faith in Nature range, I use the Coconut shampoo and conditioner it's lovely.

I've had a couple of friends mention how shiny and healthy my hair looks so I can only assume it's the products I've been using for months.

I also suffer from eczema and have really sensitive skin so I'm quite particular about what products I use and this one has been pretty good.

VelociraptorRex · 24/11/2018 09:44

Thanks @imjustanerd I have similar issues so that's really good to know!

I use aloe jojoba shampoo and conditioner from Forever Living. It has no nasties in as far as I know and my hair is in great condition. Used it for years and refuse to use anything else.
