Hi all

I have been buying bits and bobs for new and first baby due in March but people keep saying don’t buy too much as babies grow quick ect - my response is yes I know but she still need clothes to wear

For newborn I have a pack of 10 vests and 8 sleepsuits which vary in size from up to 8lb to 11.5lb

Then I have 10s of everything from size 0-3

I plan to buy bigger 3-6, 6-9 ect in January sales

One of my friends asked why I was buying new born as her nephew went straight into 6 months clothes - I think she is speaking crap tbh 😂

Have I bought too much already? I know people buy gifts for babies but they might buy more outfits whereas I have bought mostly vests and babygrows

Baby clothes buying is very addictive so I am sure I am not the only one buying plenty?

What did you all have for newborn and what size where they in as newborns?x

Hi op
Congratulations.
A newborn baby will go through perhaps two vests and two babgros per day in the first day or two because of dirty leaky nappies and spitting up.
So if you have 10 of each in newborn size that will be adequate provided you wash every day.
I would wait and see what weight your baby is before buying too much 0/3 months this size can be outgrown very quickly.

I would just wait and see. If need be, you can always go and pick stuff up when baby is here. My DS was born at 8lb5oz and stayed in newborn clothes until 10ish weeks then 0-3 until 4months old. He's 8months now and just going into 6-9. (He is on 50th percentile and has been since birth)
