Warm, waterproof, stylish coat?

Hello, I would be grateful for any suggestions of a warm and waterproof coat for winter. I am struggling to find something that looks smart for work but also fairly practical for the school run. I have a lovely Protected Species jacket from when there was an offer on here last year, but i am looking for something a bit warmer for this time of year.

Any ideas welcome! Thank you.

Protected species now do a warm version too. I think there was a more recent mumsnet offer and I think they’re doing a Black Friday event.

Didriksons. Mine got its first real test yesterday and kept me dry and toasty. It’s well cut and even flattering. No waterproof coat is ever going to be the sexiest garment on earth, but it’s definutel smart enough for me to wear to work and for every day.

Potplant - I totally agree on the waterproof coat vs style dilemma. Any coat is probably more chic than the drowned rat look I sported yesterday....

Glad you asked this OP as I'm after the same thing. I need to replace my Trespass Parka as it's looking tatty now. I refuse to admit defeat and compromise on style! I found a nice one in FatFace but they don't have my size atm and it's also another green parka and was hoping for something different! Some of those Didriksons look nice but no stockists near me so will have to order online - my credit card is going to take a bit until I've decided which I want!

I have the Vilda parka, which I believe was exclusive to Blacks and seems to have now sold out. All of the ones around £220+ full price seemed quite similar; less than this they seem thinner.

I didn't realise Blacks stocked them..good news!

I've got this Kathmandu Piedra coat. It doesn't look much in the Amazon pics but I always get complements on how classy it looks on. I wear it to work on wet days at my v formal job.
