It’s for an evening do. January wedding.

The blue one is my favourite. I love the colour of the green one just not the style.

AnotherRoadsideAttraction · 20/11/2018 21:05

Blue one - the sleeves are more interesting and the overall cut is classier. The other one looks like a velvet clubbing outfit!

hungryhippie · 20/11/2018 21:05

I definitely prefer the shape of the blue one

Shampaincharly · 20/11/2018 21:06

Green.
The sleeves on the blue one would annoy me .
Putting on a coat , reaching a tire for drinks or food etc

retainertrainer · 20/11/2018 21:06

I thought the green might be more forgiving of the mince pies with that rouching at the waste. The blue comes in an amazing wine red colour too.

Across

Pinkyyy · 20/11/2018 21:07

Blue one also, the green is a nicer colour but the style is more for a night out than a wedding

retainertrainer · 20/11/2018 21:08

They do the blue one in green too!

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 20/11/2018 21:09

I like them both but think the blue is more suitable for a wedding

It's a more sophisticated style IMO, the green one looks more suited for a night out on the tiles

Pinkyyy · 20/11/2018 21:09

Ooh I'd go for that one in the green colour then!

retainertrainer · 20/11/2018 21:10

This is the green. Looks black to me but it says emerald green?

I'd wear the green one, but I'm not sure taking clothing advice from someone with the username 'Brazenhussy' is necessarily a good idea Grin

Seriously though, the green one is a gorgeous colour and the floaty arms on the blue one have the potential to become irritating.

SimplyPut · 20/11/2018 21:12

Absolutely the blue. It's beautiful, where is it from?

halfwitpicker · 20/11/2018 21:12

Blue. Amazing dresses.

halfwitpicker · 20/11/2018 21:13

They will be really flattering.

RetiredNotExpired · 20/11/2018 21:14

They're both gorgeous, I love the rich colours and the cut.

Very hard to choose. Personally, I'd be tempted to go for the blue because evening do's can get a bit hot (unless it's going to be very formal) and the blue's lower neckline and shorter, loose sleeves would help ward-off any danger of getting too hot.

AdaColeman · 20/11/2018 21:15

I think you'd get more use/wear out of the long sleeved one, but the blue one is nicer for a special occasion.

retainertrainer · 20/11/2018 21:15

It’s from pretty kitty. Never heard of it before but I googled green velvet dress and it popped up. Looks like vintage/retro type stuff which isn’t really my thing but it is a lovely dress.

I'd get the blue one in the red. Or order it in the green too and see how green it actually is?

retainertrainer · 20/11/2018 21:18

My only concern is that although I’m slim I do get bloated in the evening and I’m not sure there’s much room for bloat in it plus it’s the first week of Jan! I’ll buy it and see. Thanks for all your opinions.

Small boobs - go for the higher neck. Big boobs - v neck. At least, that's what Susannah and Trinny taught me.

Bloomini · 20/11/2018 23:09

The blue one looks nicest in blue. The green doesn't suit that style.

The original green one? ...the colour is lovely but I'm not keen on the style at all, it looks quite dated and dare I say it, cheap.

Ellapaella · 20/11/2018 23:11

Green one is much much nicer

Ellapaella · 20/11/2018 23:12

I don't like the fluted sleeves on the blue one.
I don't think the green one is dated - there is an abundance of that style of velvet dress in the shops at the moment.
