www.soletrader.co.uk/dr-martens-2976-w-zip-boots/2976zpcr/ i love these. I sprayed them with waterproofer but wouldn't wesr them in the mud.

The dms are lovely but my Merrill s were great as o could literal walk through rock pools or wear them to work.

I can't help, but bumping the thread as I need new boots too!

RiverTam · 20/11/2018 21:26

I have some Ugg ones (not like the usual Uggs) that did me very well in the snow last week winter.

HellenaHandbasket · 20/11/2018 22:48

Both DM and Timberland do waterproof ones...wait one...

MegBusset · 20/11/2018 22:55

What's your budget? If money was no object I'd love some Dubarry boots. On my actual budget, Clarks have Goretex boots that wear well.

HellenaHandbasket · 20/11/2018 22:56

Musto do lovely goretex as well, £300 odd though 😂

raindancemumma · 20/11/2018 23:03

I second Dubarry boots. Pricey but wonderful. The company will re-sole certain styles too (for a small fee, in comparison to buying a new pair) so as long as you look after them, they are a great investment. I've had my Galways for nearly 10 years and they're only just looking like they might need some help, althogh I'm not heavy footed. They have been in the snow, sea, mud, and rain (quite a bit, good old U.K weather)

HellenaHandbasket · 21/11/2018 06:39

Agreed, I have a pair of these

And they're 18 years old 😂 bought for sailing so not overly stylish, but very comfy and dry

Lexilooo · 21/11/2018 08:51

If you like Dubarry Galways but they are over budget try ariat windemere. Also goretex but cheaper, ariat do other nice boots all comfy and worth a look.
