Aldi moisturisers are in glass jars.

Nacreous · 20/11/2018 20:11

How cheap is cheap? Aldi do one for £3.50 in glass jars - their expert range. They do cheaper ones too but not sure on packaging.

BlancheM · 20/11/2018 20:13

Yves rocher do some fab ones

Ponds & Aldi.

Glass jars tend to require formulas with more chemicals as they spoil faster. It’s why a lot of top ranges don’t offer that for anything other than oils. Having said that it’s perfectly possible to use Kiehls night oil (forgot the name it has a dropper) as a daily moisturiser provided you have a seperate spf.

Coconut oil as a body moisturiser is usually in glass jars. I find it too heavy for a facial moisturiser though.

Holland & Barrett's Dr Organics do facial moisturiser in glass jars. Not that cheap though, around £5?

Drookit · 20/11/2018 20:19

My Boots moisturiser used to come in a glass jar but they discontinued it and the replacement comes in a plastic jar.
I wish Aldi were nearby.
I'll check out Ponds

Do you have a local Avon seller? I like this

I think Sainsbury's own brand are in glass. Not 100% sure but pretty sure! Cruelty free too x

Drookit · 20/11/2018 20:24

mrsoutnumbered I can't find a Sainsbury's own brand moisturiser through google, can you link?

Drookit · 20/11/2018 20:27

I don't think I have a local Avon seller either. I feel deprived.

Mine does, was £6 from boots, not bargain basement but nothing like the cosmetic companies

1vandal2 · 20/11/2018 20:27

The lid on sainsburys own brand is plastic but its a good moisturiser i use it. Cruelty free too

1vandal2 · 20/11/2018 20:28

Doesn't come wrapped in plastic just a pull off seal on the inside of the jar

NannyR · 20/11/2018 20:31

I use the original nivea in a blue tin, ml for ml it's cheaper to buy it in a bigger plastic tub but it's still cheap enough in a tin.

Drookit · 20/11/2018 20:34

Vitalogy I love coconut oil but is it too greasy? Will it make me shine?
I've found the Holland and Barrett ones, they're £9 something. Can you recommend them?

OP posts:
Drookit · 20/11/2018 20:36

Thanks for all suggestions. Lots to try and very reasonable prices.

Vitalogy · 20/11/2018 20:57

I don't find coconut oil greasy as a body moisturiser. I use it after a shower and it absorbs fine. I probably use a couple of Malteser size balls.

The Holland & Barrett ones are fine. They're 3 for 2 atm. Not much in the jar though.

TheDogsMother · 20/11/2018 22:31

Aldi Lacura is in glass jars and is a quality product.

MillicentSnitch · 23/11/2018 14:35

Aldi coconut oil in the healthy eating section comes in a glass jar - £2.29 for quite a big jar. I use it for body moisturising & removing make-up but not moisturising my face.

OneStepMoreFun · 23/11/2018 14:52

I think some of the Garnier ones are.

MoltonSilver · 23/11/2018 15:56
