Help me find a plus size party dress please!

It’s my 40th birthday in 3 weeks and I’m having a small party. I need a dress for it as nothing in my wardrobe fits any more.

I’ve put on a lot of weight in the last few months due to a health problem and feel at a real low about myself.

I’d like a knee length dress in a dark colour. I suit navy, teal, jewel tones and black. My legs are the only bit of me that hasn’t got fat. I’ve got a distinctly apple shape.

I’m wavering around a size 20 to 22 at present.

I did see the attached dresses on ASOS curve a few weeks ago but they’ve both gone now and I can’t find anything similar.

I just want to look nice for this milestone birthday after a really shitty year. Please help me find something!

A bit of sparkle wouldn’t go amiss too.

Bright red, floor length, jewelled bust. I looked and felt like amazing!

I can’t see the link you posted @keepcalm but I’ve had a quick look on the coast website. I didn’t know they now did plus size. There are loads in my sort of colours too. Thanks for the heads up

@Tetrapanex I'm a similar size and shape to you, and I wear jewel tones as well, so I basically picked dresses I would buy 🤣. Happy shopping!

Try looking at the paper dolls curve range in ASOS. I got one for a wedding and it fitted so well and I felt so comfortable in it.
