What colour bag with navy coat please?

My DM has a new winter navy coat and I thought I would buy her a new leather bag to go with it, but am struggling with colours. Help please!
I bought a sage coloured one today but it looks a bit summery..I wondered about a wine type colour instead. She likes crossbody styles.

Lots of colours! You could be classic and go for tan, grey, navy or burgundy, or have a 'pop of colour' bag in mustard, red, green or bright blue.

Thank you, I think I need to keep hunting. Hadn’t thought of tkmaxx. There’s a lovely tan modalu bag I’ve also been eyeing up, I thought it would go but then became unsure. Teal is my favourite colour!

I have recently bought a dark grey bag and it goes well with both my black and navy coats. I also think tan goes well with both.
