Well, this is embarrassing-my hair is really thinning.

Like I can see my scalp-almost going bald. I've always had fine hair, but now it's gone grey totally white it's like baby hair. I had to scrape it back today because of the wind and was shocked how thin it is. I've always looked after my hair and it's in good condition. Growing out a dodgy Bob, currently shoulder length with a side fringe. No money for trichologist. Anyone got any miracle cures?

High potency Biotin supplement, makes ALL hair grow though but is the only thing I’ve found that actually helps.

JoyceDivision · 19/11/2018 20:00

@MyneisJune where is best to get that? Mine is noticably thin right at the front in middle, more so now I'm growing it... Thinking about going short again Sad

JoyceDivision · 19/11/2018 20:00

@MynameisJune argh mistype!

Well, June, since most of my other hair went west with the menopause, I wouldn't care.
Actually, I haven't had my ferritin levels checked for ages, so a visit to Drs may be an idea, I just didn't think of going for something I thought of as trivial.

I used to get mine from Amazon, at least 2500mcg and took 2 a day. My hair went really thin after DD’s birth.

I've been shedding hair in handfuls over the last few months. I've just started taking those 'Hair, skin and nails' pills (I think the brand is Perfectil) and hope they might help a bit. Early days so far.

Lots of Vitamin B12 to bump up your ferritin levels. You'll need to take Vitamin C supp too as it aids the absorption of the iron supplements.

(I'm not a doctor though so bets to double check with your GP)
