Talk to me about Mia Tui bags

I’ve done a board search for work bags and Mia Tui keep popping up as recommended. I wondered what they are like durability wise- do they scuff? How does the stitching etc hold up?

I need to carry a ring binder, 2-3 A4 notepads, big bottle of water, purse and other stuff. What would people recommend. I’m thinking Sydney although worry it might be a bit cramped, although think a backpack is better for the back. Would I be better with a Jennie/ mini Jenn?

I have a couple, to be honest I’m not that keen on them. I think they smell, look and feel plasticky. However, that’s personal taste - on the plus side, they seem well made, the couple I have have survived being hand luggage on several holidays, with all the mess and grunge that entails, and they’ve cleaned up nicely. I’ve also found their customer service good.

Had to go and check what I have - they are Jennie and the Maya backpack. Maya would def be too small for your needs, although syndney looks bigger and better straps. Jennie would hold everything you want, but for me it would then be too heavy, I would need a backpack for that amount of gear.

Thank you. I did read the reviews on QVC that mentioned the smell of the faux leather. I wonder if it wears off or not.

The smell goes very quickly once the bag is out of the wrappers. My Olivia handbag looks like new after nearly 2 years of daily use. I also have a Emma I use for work and an Amelie overnight bag, they are both really sturdy and I pack loads into them.

I have one of the wristlets (bought for holiday) Lilly , I got it from the Mai Tui website , QVC had a duo set , one was black/ one colour.
The smell isn't noticeable , but I don't wear or use leather anyway.

I really like the look of the 'Molly' bag but I know IRL it will irritate me . Too many pockets and too small for me .

The only off putting bit for me is the white stitching in all the bags , I don;t like black or navy with white stitches .

I got the set of 3 Sue shopping bags , two compartments plus central zipped area and they fold into a pouch. Holds loads Grin really strong .

70isalimit- I agree on white stitching on dark bags- do they all have it?

I have several and they wear really well. I lug laptop, water, files, lunch. Mine has been through the washer several times too. No smell. Can't remember what they are but I have a huge grey one and huge black one. No white stitching.

I have loads of their bags. I have a huge one I use for work that fits a laptop and loads of A4 binders in.
I have another one that I use as a daily bag but I’ve just replaced it with a Jane.

I find it’s well worth searching for Jane Mia Tui Bundle, (change the name to the bag you want). I got a free Sue shopper (best shopping bag), wash bag, and small shoulder bag with my Jane. Even if the code is out of date it will work.

Yes they are cheap. They aren’t designer bags. But they are practical. The light coloured lining is a godsend, as are all the pockets.

You can tell they’ve been designed by people who actually use handbags.

The faux leather is a selling point for me. I try to avoid leather where I can.

I have a few. I think you'd be best with a Sydney backpack for that amount of stuff - I have two, one I use as a change bag. Really comfortable to carry.

I also have a Jennie- I also love those but would be worried about carrying all that stuff on one shoulder.

I have one of their back packs which I love, good organisation, key ring, nicely made so bought a a small hand which is awful! Really plasticity and nasty!
