Bravissimo. There is one in Covent Garden. The service is excellent and there are a good range of bras at reasonable prices - much less than R & P. If you are with a friend, partner, they have a seating area where they can wait in comfort.

Bravissimo, John Lewis or Debenhams. Debenhams have their own range which is quite extensive and reasonably priced

She has been a bravissimo girl for years but their nudes are not the right colours

Nubian skin bras don't have a side sling so may not fit very well

JL/debehams seem hit and miss

Fenwicks Bond Street. Very helpful staff good selection and the store is never overly busy.

What about see through bras? There used to be a range called glossies i think, good for getting correct skin tone. I had never thought about PoC and nude bras - the same problem as those old "flesh" plasters i suppose. If she is a G or less Anita does a fantastic tshirt bra. If budget is a consideration she could get measured at R&P but buy overstocks from eBay.

HundredMilesAnHour · 17/11/2018 17:01

Definitely Rigby & Peller if she can stretch to the cost. Better to have one good fitting bra that costs than lots of cheaper ill-fitting ones.

The Glossies range was by Gossard. Not sure if they're still around. On Ebay perhaps?

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 17/11/2018 17:04

Rigby & Peller will work to your budget if they can. Otherwise can always see what style they recommend and buy cheaper online.

28F or 28FF depending on style bravissimo fit really well but don't do the right nude

She'll go have a root around next time she is in london

The right colour nude is a nightmare anyway but if you are an unusual size it's worse

Now she is working she needs 2 or 3 very firm almost sports bras (without a racetrack) and a strapless

Bravissimo just off Oxford Street. You might need to pop in andbook a fitting time then come back but it will be worth it.

KatyMac · 17/11/2018 19:30

Bravissimo just don't do the right colour, sadly

You could browse bras on Amazon trying all sorts of brownish words mocha, caramel, cappuccino etc until you see the correct shade?
