So it's my birthday on Monday and I think I'm going to ask for some high end foundation as a little treat for myself 😊
However my nose gets really oily and also sometimes on my chin.. anyone know some good foundations for this?xx

I want to follow this because I’m exactly the same! Sorry I’m no help!

Shirleyphallus · 15/11/2018 18:48

Also the same and placemarking!

Clinique stay matt oil free works well for me!

Bobbi Brown Skin Longwear weightless foundation.

I've just started wearing IT Cosmetics CC in matte. Its got a good medium coverage and is buildable if you need more coverage in certain areas. I had been hearing good things about it for a while but they've only just released the matte version as the original version has a more dewy finish.

I've been really impressed with it, I have fairly oily skin but this gives a great finish without looking too flat.

I love illamasqua foundation, combined with their veil and primary it makes your skin looks amazing and it doesn't budge

ISeeTheLight · 15/11/2018 22:21

this one
Also combination/oily skin.

I’ve recently start using theclinique stat matte foundation, I really like it.

@Doghorsechicken @Shirleyphallus I went to debenhams and after doing some searching on the net I had my makeup done at MAC. She used the face primer and studio fix foundation and honestly I had it on all day and no oil came through on my nose which is what normally happens. So hopefully I'm onto a winner 👍

I'd second the Bobbi Brown.

Doghorsechicken · 18/11/2018 11:45

That sounds fab, thanks for letting us know!

I use too faced peaches and cream primer and foundation, the setting powder and eith mac matte setting spray or revolution one. Keeps the oil under control. Can get too faced from debenhams

I have always had oil slick skin, and would recommend The Ordinary Primer under whatever foundation you like- cheap as chips and better than the MAC primer that I swore by for over a decade.

The key to keeping the oil at bay is to use as little moisturiser, primer, foundation as possible. Think about it, the more product you apply, the more that's sitting on your face ready to melt and congeal.

Also, use a damp beauty blender / sponge to blend everything in. Again, if you use your fingers to blend in, you're adding heat to your face prematurely which will speed up the rate at which your skin produces oil.

HTH.
