What makeup for deep set eyes?

I have deep-set eyes, one of my least favourite features. For years I've been applying a quick flick of eyeliner and some mascara on the top lashes but recently realised it's not doing me any favours.

Any advice please?

I have hooded eyes, is that the same as deep set? How much of your eyelid can you see when your eyes are open?

Eyeliner would not work on me as you see so little lid (straight on pic) .
The trick is to use eyeshadows and to apply them up to the brow bone and line with the same shadow under the eye, It really opens up the eyes.

I guess mine are sort of sunken for want of a better word

Ah right, if your eyes look like Biscuits pic, that means you have visible eyelids and should ignore what I said!

Not using mascara on bottom lashes is good advice for any eyes, actually.

I do tend to use a smudge of shadow under the bottom lashes, however, to give definition. Too much mascara in either set of lashes is not flattering.

Holy that video is brilliant! I skimmed over the first nine minutes and have just totally changed my eyes by adding some white Matt to give the illusion of a visible mobile lid. Yey!

I am so fair, I have no visible lashes without mascara. Plus wearing mascara on top and bottom makes my eyes look much bigger, so I would never recommend just having it on top(if you have hooded eyes at least).
