How to style these boots

I bought these yesterday - they were comfortable and looked sturdy for winter.

However I have no idea what to wear them with?

i live in jeans. All my jeans are skinny, but don't end above the boot as the model in the picture shows.

For info I am tall, 'athletic build' ? and 50.

Please give me some ideas..

They are Timberland Lux Boots in 'Potting Soil'. Not black but a decent dark brown so I think they will work with black jeans and blue denim.

Buy short length jeans. X

Chunky/bunched up socks and turn your jeans up
Tights and short denim/cord skirt

Just turn your jeans up, but inwards instead of outwards if that makes sense - so the you can’t see the turn up - FWIW, I think the gap of skin above boots look makes legs look short, so I would only be turning them up enough to stop the bunched up look. I also have timberlands, but the ones with the turn down top - which I wear turned up over the top of my jeans.

So I guess either chunky socks to break up the top of boot and jeans leg or leave a small gap.

I'll have a try on session and see what I can come up with.
