How to style this velvet blazer?

Hello all,

I recently succumbed and bought this blazer from Massimo Dutti. I love the colour and material but apart from the suitably masculine approach, how could I style this?

Am a size 8 hourglass, long legs and arms, 5ft7 and usually in dresses and things with a very defined waist. Do you think I could wear this long, waistless blazer with a fitted dress or skirt? Or do I have to dig out the trousers/androgyny?

I think it's quite a versatile shape, I'm sure it would look great with dresses or skirts as well as trousers

Jeans - boyfriend, straight or skinnies. Infact, most style of jeans with a variety of tops or fine knit underneath.

It would also go with midi skirt or dress or a more fitted style.

I've got one in dark blue from MD, I wear it with literally everything but my fav casual look is with a Breton top, jeans and white trainers.

I mam convinced they will bring out matching trousers, if that helps? The grey blazer already has them (called jogging trousers but peg shape)
