Looking to buy some supplements but would appreciate feedback from anyone who takes them.

I'm actually just going to start taking collagen again. The ones I usually take are from H&B.

I wasn't sure if they were making any difference but now I've been off them for a while I think they were making a difference.

I noticed that my nails grew very quickly and were very strong. I also noticed that my hair was thicker. I wasn't sure if they made any difference to my skin but actually I think they did. So I am going to start taking them again.

I go for facial treatments from a Nurse and I've had Radio Therapy/HIFU and asked the Therapist. As well as a bit of online research.

They all say that the supplements won't reach your skin.

It's much better to use products and treatments that stimulate Collagen production.

That's really interesting Birdsgottafly. I definitely noticed that my hair and nails were much stronger and grew more. My nails usually break and peel very easily but after being on collagen supplements for a couple of weeks there was a huge difference. I didn't actually think the supplements had made much difference to my skin but since I have been off them my skin hasn't been so good.

Wouldn't just eating more protein have the same effect on your skin though?

sizzledrizz · 15/11/2018 17:14

Maybe you're younger thiscan't so you don't need to stimulate your skin much

I think I need more help than a bit more chicken and scrambled egg can offer Grin

What's in them?

All research id read was debunked but it's possible to have flakey nails from a deficiency.

Grin I'm not young, don't want to say my exact age but in my fifties.

The ones I use are the hydrolysed collagen, nothing else in the capsules.
