Recommendations for breast reduction surgeon in NE.

Just as it says, really. I’ve been lucky enough to be approved for an NHS reduction on clinical grounds, but the date keeps getting pushed back - was spring 2019, now pushed back to ‘late summer’ whatever that means, and I’m terrified funding will be withdrawn before it gets done. I’m looking at private options - I want a hospital setting rather than a clinic, and looking at anywhere between Leeds and Edinburgh. I want someone who specialises in breast surgery, not someone who spends most of their time doing fillers and Botox, with a bit of boob work on the side. I’ve read bios till my eyes cross, but wondered if anyone had any recommendations for surgeons?

I used to work in breast surgery NHS with Mr khalid Khan, he was very good, and nice.
Here.

Thanks, Eleanor, he seems to be in Northern Ireland though? I don’t honk I will feel up to flying or a ferry journey 24 hours after that kind of surgery - and would also worry about aftercare.

I was just about to suggest miss mithoff again then I realised we chatted on the other thread. I hope everything goes well for you Smile

missmarple I followed up on her but can’t even get an initial private consult with her before end March and then they estimated another 3 months after that for surgery. It just feels such a long time after spending so long going down nhs route. I just want it over now, although I also want someone good.

She only works on a Tuesday I think. I remember that feeling though of dying to get it done. There's loads of good surgeons out there so good luck when it happens for you.
