I have a meal in a very fancy restaurant with hubbys work colleagues tonight. Dress code for men is suit and tie. Can I get away with wearing this dress?

Get away with? You'll look lovely.

It's nice but very short indeed on the model - I assume you are not 6 feet tall though and it won't be quite so short!

I'd wear it with opaque black tights, black heels and a black jacket. And lipstick to match the flowers in the pattern!

It's lovely! I want one too Grin

I think it's a little bit on the casual side if the male dress code is suit and tie.

This'll look fabulous - I'd have no problem wearing this to a fancy meal and think it's totally suitable. Enjoy - sound lovely!

It's lovely but can see why you are concerned as can go either side of smart/casual.

Just make sure the other elements are smart - a tailored coat, smart heeled shoes and opaque black tights. Polished hair and makeup.

I agree with PP it’s nice but I’d dress it up more with a blazer and a clutch bag x

Yes! You'll look lovely.

It's a nice dress OP, love the red and black. Agree with some others that it 'could' look casual; for example I'd probably wear it as a day dress with tights and ankle boots, but absolutely it has great potential for evening wear of dressed up with the right footwear, jewellery, hair/makeup. I think it will look lovely and is a great choice for the time of year too (hooray for sleeved dresses).
Have a fab evening OP!

Definitely. It's not too casual at all.
