Blanket scarf or poncho?

I’m thinking I need either a blanket scarf or a poncho for throwing over my usual clothes in the winter and also for a long haul flight in January. I’m petite (just over 5ft) and my usual casual style is jeans, trainers and jumpers. Which do you think would be better? I’d appreciate any recommendations too!

What’s your budget?
I don’t own one but I have my eye one one from www.thetravelwrapcompany.com/

Wow they are amazing but pricey! It will likely be a Christmas present but no more than £50 really.

I’ve got a blanket scarf from H&M that is super cosy. I’ve had it a couple of years.
I had it on a long haul and it keeps me warm in Winter.
My poncho doesn’t get anywhere near as much use.

I adore my wraps, I always go for ones with arm holes so it looks like a poncho but you have use of your arms! Bit like these.

I prefer blanket scarves as they're more versiltile.
My favourite one is one from h&m years ago actually.

An alternative might be a convertible wrap with buttons along one side to convert into a poncho ( which means you can wear it and not need to hold it) I use one from WoolOvers ( Marino and cashmere mix) for travel. It’s really useful. It’s a bit short for full arm coverage, but just ok if you are short as I am. They are £ 59 now.
