I have the same problem and i am currently taking Biotin, and multi vitamins
Have you had your thyroid cheked, and iron levels?

cato75 · 13/11/2018 13:33

I'm taking Tesco skin hair and nails. Have noticed nails are much stronger already after just two weeks. I'm hoping it will soon improve the condition of my hair.

Thanks ladies, forgot about looking through previous threads. Will do x

Get your ferritin (iron) checked.

OHolyNightOwl · 13/11/2018 16:03

Multivitamin and high dose Biotin here too.

xRoyalty · 13/11/2018 16:07

Perfectil plus hair 😉

professionalnomad · 13/11/2018 16:18

Biotin - helped grow my nails for my wedding!

whotookthesellotape · 14/11/2018 03:39

Avocados, eggs and oily fish. I did low carb for a while, it didn't suit me but my hair and nails were the best they've ever been.

UpToonGirl · 14/11/2018 09:28

Just a word of warning on the biotin, it broke me out horrendously! Not helped by the fact I didn't realise what was causing the spots at first so I continued taking it for a while. Skin cleared within about 5 days of stopping.

ArkAtEee · 14/11/2018 09:33

Check ferratin (iron) and vitamin D levels. Can also be a sign of thyroid problems or menopause symptoms.

I eat really well but the menopause wrecked my hair. I've been taking Nutrihair for almost a year now and my hair is back to normal! I'm crediting the Nutrihair rather than the HRT ... Grin

I'm about to start taking a collagen supplement as apparently that can help too.

Sitranced · 14/11/2018 10:00

Castor oil is good for protecting and hair growth. Don't eat it though, use it as a hair mask - be warned it is very thick.

Chanelprincess · 14/11/2018 14:58

Nutrihair!

princesstiasmum · 18/11/2018 08:16

Where do you get Nutrihair from? Tried H&B they don't sell it

GreenandBlueButterfly · 18/11/2018 08:41

I use Conplidermol. Truly amazing results for me

Butterfly Thanks for this, will have a look, but just bought strong Biotin, and Feroglobin for iron,
I dont seem to be losing hair as such, none in the plughole etc, but still thinning
I have been using velcro rollers when i wash my hair and now wonder if they are dragging hair out,but its mainly at one side,
Worried its genetic though as my mother had very thin hair on top as did her mother, but at a much younger age than i am now

I get Nutrihair from Nature's Best online.

Thanks to this thread, I have now also invested in some Biotin. So far, so good, in terms of my skin, but we'll see.

I'm such a sheep!
