Some help in looking for a black tie dress?

Hello

I have never used this board before but I saw some regulars post some links to dress websites on an AIBU and was very interested - now I can't remember what they were!

I am looking for a dress for a black tie event. Not too much cleavage. Probably black, and ideally past the knee or floor length. Prefer natural fibres. I am a size 8/10.

If anyone can help point me in the direction of some great websites I'd be forever grateful. Budget is £50 to £150 ideally.

ASOS is my go to for evening wear in that price range. Very easy to filter the search results for colours, length etc too

Justbecause - I tried one on just like that John Lewis wrap one last week in Outfit. Sorry I can't remember which brand it was but it was about £45 I think. I can't see it on topshop site but they do have some nice ones.

I've ordered a few from Next (AX, Lipsy brands) to try, so that also could be worth a look.

I'm open to sleeves, but happy with sleeveless too. Don't want one that is too frumpy I.e. both high neck and no slit on the leg.

Getting a bit desperate now. Bought 3 dresses thinking one would look nice (including the one I linked to upthread and one linked by Racecardriver) and they all looked really bad!

I really like the Monsoon one except for the embellishment. Going to have another trawl on ASOS etc

Next, phase eight. Size 8 is low on stock. I seem to think phase eight come up big. Don't know why I think this.

When I was looking for a black tie dress on ASOS, I couldn’t find anything. Then I searched maxi dress, instead of evening/ party and switched the filter to price ‘high to low’ and there were absolutely loads! Had to scroll through the first page or so to get to my budget 😂 but it was the only way I found them! Mine is out of stock or I’d link.
