Shoes for leather (faux) trousers

Following 4 stone weight loss I've bought myself some faux leather trousers.

However I'm struggling to know what shoes to wear with them?! I've tried some black patent heels they I've got with them but think they look daft!

Anyone got any suggestions or pictures of what they've worn with similar?

Trainers or loafers. I think it's 'fashion' to pare down the sexiness of them rather than Bet Lynch it up with heels.
