Wrap around dress, tell me your tips!

To stop gaping basically. Bought a lovely red wrap around dress for xmas parties from Asos but being big of boobage it gapes a little and the material is quite slippy, Any tips? Wondering if a bit of velcro might help stop it opening?

I just use a safety pin!

I always wear a stretchy cami underneath.

I wear a silk full slip under wrap dresses. I wear a lot of wrap dresses and like a silk slip, covers both ends 😂.

I use a safety pin too. When I hang new wrap dresses in my wardrobe I put a safety pin in the label tag reedy for the first time I wear it. Imagine if the dresses came with a pin in the same colour as the dress!

I just wear a coloured cami underneath, I've got lots in different colours to contrast etc

Search amazon for "piin" - they're these decorative little safety pins designed for just this problem. There are some that just look like little pearl buttons etc.

I have the same problem, and I too wear a camisole - but those piin things look nice.

I'm wearing a wrap dress to a wedding later today. I've got something similar to the piin.

@theboxofdelights, where do you get full silk slips? I'm looking for one for a Christmas present!

i pin the under layer of the wrap to my bra cup.
it holds it firmly in the position i want, and then just tie top layer wrap over as normal
then no obvious pins,
i always found pinning the two sides of the dress made it odd shape or pull etc

I’ve used a pretty stud earring in the past as a quick fix. I didn’t realise I was gaping quite as much until I was already out

Boob tape.

I use a safety pin and keep on meaning to stitch the two halfs together. Regularly wear camis under dresses that are too low cut. But I'm completely going to buy a silk slip silk slip and some Piins!
