Can anyone help me find my perfect coat?

I've trawled and trawled the internet and been back and forth to the post office with returns but the perfect winter coat is still proving elusive.

I would like a wool coat that has a fairly high neck (but not funnel neck) so that I don't have a big gap at my neck when it's done up.

I'd like it in a dark colour - not too picky about that but not cream or anything that will get too dirty.

I'd like it just above my knee.

I am size 10/12 and 5ft 6".

Budget around £150.

Any suggestions are very welcome.

I do like it but my DSs wear a navy duffel coat for school which kind of puts me off. I do like the tweed coat on Joules but I think it might have too much of an open neck.

Fussy? Me?

I'm looking for exactly the same thing. So many coats this year seam to open above the boobs, like a blazer. I'm considering this although not sure what size to get. It looks like it might be a bit short but I've just measured the back of my current winter coat which finishes slightly above my knees and it's 86cm. This says it's 85cm. I'm 5ft 5 and also a size 10/12.

Thanks notasgreen. That looks pretty perfect - I've ordered it in a size 38 as I think Cos like to make their clothes quite oversized sometimes.

Did you get your coat BoysRule? I've just tried mine on and I think it's a bit shapeless. I like it open but not sure about buttoned up. I think it might have to go back.

I did get it and kept it as I can't face trying any more! I'm not 100% happy with it though and wish I'd sent it back really. It's quite big and shapeless like you say. Although all the coats this year are oversize so I'm hoping I just look fashionable.

Oh well.
