Just got the Xmas catalogue through the post and with 25% off plus a £10 voucher there are a couple of things I might try out. I'm trying to reduce spending on el cheapo tat and spend more on fewer items and I've been holding out for a new cashmere sweater or cardi for a while now.

Quite like the look of a couple of their styles but how are they on quality and are they frumpier than they've made them look on the stunning model?!

Also is customer service/returns decent? I'd be ordering 2 or 3 thing to try and would definitely not keep all of them!

Used to be really good about 10 years ago.

Quality isn’t what it used to be. I think they are ok at sale prices but not so much at full price even with discount you mention. Sometimes they send out 40% discount codes. They do a pretty wide range of colours in some styles, so it can be worth it to get something with a discount if it’s the ideal colour and will complete an outfit/go with loads you have.

I think it’s better than high st (e.g. Marks and Spencer), not as good as Brora if that helps.

I like Pure Collection and have bought a lot from from them over the years. I have always found their Customer Service to be really good too which always gives me confidence when I order.

I do tend to wait for the sales but if I have a code and voucher I will use that especially if there is something I want.

In the past, their Black Friday deals have been good.

I find their cashmere really nice but I agree their cashmere isn't as good as Brora but then Brora prices are extortionate.

Thanks v much!

I adore Brora for quality (never been so keen on the cut of their cardi/sweaters which don't work well for me as they're short and boxy and I'm tall and barrel-shaped!) but agree the prices are horrific. I did buy a gorgeous waterfall midi-length cardigan from Brora about 4 years ago when I had more spare cash (!) and even in the sale it was about £200. Worth every penny tbf because I wear it loads and it's lasted superbly.

Wouldn't expect Pure to be that quality for the price but interesting to hear it's not as good as it was and also that they do discount more deeply! As there's no urgency really (though I really woudl like a useful, go-with-everything black cardi soon!) I will wait and see what happens.

Will look out for Black Friday too!

Great info, thanks ever so much.

I’ve not bought from them for several years but was always impressed by the quality so it’s disappointing to hear it’s gone downhill. They used to state that their cashmere was sustainable but they seem to have dropped that.

It’s quite a classic look and not always to my taste but I like some of their individual pieces. Their tube skirts were good - not sure if they still do them. I’ve always found their customer service to be good.

The cut of their basic jumpers (crew and v neck) is good for me, fitted not boxy, and I like lots of their colours. So I will keep buying BUT it’s true the longevity isn’t the best. They do shrink gradually after washing and I have also got tummy holes in a couple of their jumpers. The looser knits pill quite easily, mind you that’s the same for every loose knit jumper I’ve ever owned...

Service and returns are very easy.
